RULES AND STUFF

A pretty simple tipping comp which ends at the season proper...that means, we will NOT be tipping into the finals like we did last year. 

• Tip a winner – 2 points

• Incorrect tip – 0 points

• Tip a perfect round – 3 extra points (bye rounds NOT included)

• Do we tip State of Origin games???  Hell yes!!!

• If you forget to put your tips in, you get the lowest score of the round

• Late joiners get the away teams…so don’t be late

NOTE – Any changes to tips that I make as the administrator can be seen by anyone in our comp.  This is for transparency reasons as I believe in hosting a fair comp.   Hell, this is the 13th year I have been running it so I am not about to damage my awesome reputation now by cheating.  Also, to clarify, I do sometimes add people’s tips after the cutoff, but all tipsters are notified of this.  The reasons can vary, be usually it is because people are unable to get to a computer in time so they text me their tips.  As long as I receive those tips BEFORE the cutoff, then I have no issue entering them.  I am also required to provide a reason why I have entered the tip so if you have any questions, read the explanation and contact me if you still have a problem.

Prizemoney

Every 5 weeks I hand out $50 to the best tipster in that 5 week period.  We have a $50 payout in weeks 5, 10, 15 and 20, so you have plenty of chances to make your money back through the year.

Cost to enter the comp is $50 and you have until Round 10 to pay.

As a ballpark, I try and make the first prize around the $1000 mark and step it down from their.  This year, the prizes will be awarded for the following positions:

1st

2nd

3rd and

9th last..

If, in the last 5 rounds of the season you fail to submit tips for three weeks running, you will rule yourself ineligible for any prizemoney.  This has been a hard and fast rule since I first started the tipping comp.

Apart from those pretty simple rules, that’s about it.  It is not rocket surgery!!!
